Labeled as a 'jungle lodge', Casa Corcovado offers much more than a hut in the rainforest. This boutique hotel is rated as having the top facilities in south Corcovado, featuring luxury accommodations, two refreshing pools amid dense and lush rainforest, two restaurants, a quaint bar with a daily happy hour and manicured gardens throughout the property.
If you are one of the lucky ones that planned ahead and managed to confirm a reservation at Casa Corcovado, your extreme adventure in nature will be rewarded by comfortable and romantic evenings, superb food and friendly and accommodating staff at the hotel. A unique blend of characteristics that range from true seclusion to outstanding service are the pillars for this one-of-a-kind experience in nature, ideal for adventurous couples and families with teenage kids or older.
Staying at Casa Corcovado is not like a typical hotel stay. There are no televisions or telephones, and there is no Internet service available. Even more extreme, there are no roads to access the property, and the nearest town is 30 minutes by boat. Your experience starts at a small pier an hour away, where the hotel’s staff will pick you up for an enchanting ride down the estuary of the Sierpe River, into the open ocean waters that border the Osa Peninsula. After docking at the beach, a farm tractor will haul you uphill to the resort’s entrance, where you will be welcomed with a refreshing fruit cocktail.
A two night minimum stay is required, but spending less than four days is truly not worth it. The exuberance of the park, the many adventures and the exotic wildlife require spending at least three nights and two full days dedicated to touring the region and exploring the many adventure options available. Staying at Casa Corcovado is a truly memorable experience that will be one of the highlights of your trip to Costa Rica.
